2011 Page Awards Finalist!

2011 - Page Awards - finalistOkay, so it’s not exactly music news, but exciting news for me nonetheless. I’m pleased to announce: my screenplay Dream State has been selected as a top ten finalist in the 2011 PAGE Awards, international screenwriting competition!

Dream State is a high-concept psychological thriller and my seventh screenplay. LOGLINE: “A simple hypnosis session turns into a failing student’s worse nightmare when he can’t wake up.”

4,428 screenplays from 61 countries competed in the PAGE Awards this year. Dream State is one of ten finalists in the Thriller/Horror category, putting it in the top 2.25% of all submissions.

What started as an exercise to become a better film composer has resulted in a large output of literary work I continue to churn out whenever I can find the time. In last year’s PAGE Awards, my screenplay Spaz Fu took home the Gold Prize in the family film category. I couldn’t be more thrilled (or dumbfounded) by the new attention my writing is getting. I can only hope it leads to actually selling one of these things!
